'MAKE SAWTRY WAY SAFER FOR ALL'
( CRW's NOW 7-YEAR LHI 23/24 £8k-ish PEOPLE's PROJECT)
(with CRW paying 50% from Public Donations)
Assuming the 2021 - approved LHI Signage
appears on Sawtry Way in 2023
The simple LHI 23/24 calls for a 400
m 30 MPH Limit
to Replace the existing 50 limit
See the LHI submitted to Highways on 14 Nov 2022 - HERE
and (after prompting)received notification
of a non-democratic Rejection
by Highways acting alone on 8 June 2023
our response rejecting/appealing that rejection on 13 June 23 is HERE
In response, on 14 Jun 23 we were notified
that this matter had been
escalated to a Line Manager (not independent arbitrator as requested)
The redacted Highways Response to our Response on 14th June to that notification
is also HERE -
Highways Line Manager's Response awaited
However, after our request nearly 18 months ago, the hatched white lines outside the Wyton-On-The -Hill estate exits have been re-instated and are only there because the 5 exits along that 100 yard stretch, are dangerous and need the speed limit reducing to ensure a safer (and Greener) environment in pursuit of the County's 'professed' VisionZERO.
All this interchange has been cc'd to
Steve Cox (Director) & C Cllr Ryan Fuller
within whose baliwick Sawtry Way falls
