'MAKE SAWTRY WAY SAFER FOR ALL'
( CRW'S 2020 LHI £8k-ish PEOPLE's PROJECT)
(with CRW paying 50% from Public Donations)
CRW
has withdrawn from the TRO Element of LHI 20-21 ![]()
as 50 end to end was not what
was designed, agreed and approved by our new CCC
However, CRW has retained the Signage Aspect

!! GREAT !! JUNE 2021
- 50-40-50 PROPOSAL APPROVED !! GREAT !!
BY CCC HIGHWAYS & INTRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE
!! BUT !!
!!NOV 21 - OBJECTION BY HIGHWAYS - NOV
21!!
(CAUSING THE NEW LIB/LAB COUNTY COUNCIL TO DO A U-TURN HAVING
APPROVED IT IN JUNE 2021)
SO ALL THAT'S NOW ON OFFER IS A 50 MPH END-TO-END DESPITE AN 85%ILE OF ONLY
48 MPH IN THE 50 LIMIT - CRW REJECTS THIS AS 40MPH OR LOWER IS VITAL ACROSS
THE ESTATE EXITS IF LIVES ARE TO BE SAVED AFTER ONE WAS TAKEN ON 7
JUNE 2017
SEE DATA FOR YOURSELF HERE

http://bit.ly/CambridgeshireTRO then PRO746
Consultation was 3 weeks and ended 1
Dec 21 so now too late to object to
PolicyAndRegulation@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
as this should be a 40 zone across the Estates, and Mere Way and the Camp Roundabout
as proposed by CCC Highways in 2019 (since reneged) and
with a limit of 50 mph it is definitely NOT - as stated in the Statement
of Reasons for PRO746 -
'more in keeping with the roads of similar characteristics in the surrounding
area'
RUBBISH
CRW's Objection is HERE
it is NOT on a par with the A141 Ring Road nor the A1123 (the example used)
Also Object to our County Council CEO
about the 11th hr project-destructive
objection by his own 'professional' Team
with 40 across the estate entrances that have been tabled as
a 40 zone in successive LHIs since Nov 2018
especially as we have now in 2021 just grabbed failure from the jaws of success
After the Failure of the Projects in 2018 | 2019

Meanwhile........
..... and at the Camp Roundabout (60
mph limit - proposed 40 mph limit) ...
-- yet another recent 'casualty' of wrong speed, embedded in the fence --

and at Pine Hill Park
(a pedestrian waiting to cross and then taking 10 seconds to do so)

See Last Year's (2019)
application/photos for more evidence that
the speed limit is too high and check on the number of
'For Sale' signs at Pine Hill Park
that are reflecting the nuisance 24/7 heavy traffic at 50 mph causes
